10-12-98: sitting with my blinders on....
This past weekend I deliberately sat with blinders over my eyes.
I wanted to shut out the real world and only concentrate on
nothing at all.
I chosed to ignore what was happening to Matthew Shepard
in the news. Much like I chose to ignore the Starr report
and most of the idiocy that has surrounded this whole
Clinton debacle.
I chose to ignore the opportunity that National Coming Out
could have provided for me and my family.
I apologize, Matthew, for not being able to make this world a better
place for you. I'm sorry that you had to be the one to die
to make it a better and safer place for me and those like me.
Rest in peace, my brother.
